Application Process for Study Visa in Singapore

Application - Student need to apply with all their credentials starting from class X till last qualification along with the application fees if applicable. University or the institute will get back to with ‘Letter of Acceptance’ along with the visa form 16 and V36. Student has to fill up these form to apply for the student pass.

Visa - International students are required to apply for a Student's Pass to pursue a course of study in Singapore unless they are holding a Dependent Pass (DP) or an Immigration Exemption Order (IEO). Upon receiving the Letter of Acceptance from the school, the applicant must proceed to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to apply for a Student's Pass. Applicants who are holding a DP or an IEO can be admitted by the School immediately upon passing the school's Placement Test.

Student Accommodation in Singapore

On Campus: 
Halls of Residence is provided by almost all Universities, usually on sharing basis. Cost : 110 $ - 130$ per week for under graduate students 120 – 180$ per week for Graduate students.

Private Hostels
Private hostels are run by educational institutions or independent agencies. Options of single or sharing are normally available. Costs :35$ per bed (sharing basis) to 130$ per night for single room.

Temporary accommodation
Singapore has many safe budget hotels for students to book on temporary basis. Cost usually is : 50$ - 100$ per night on single occupancy.
