Many government universities, thousands of institutions and universities offer scholarships for international students to study abroad. Most scholarships are merit-based, need-based, subject-specific, or aimed at marginalized communities to help them reach their full potential. Here are the Top 10 Scholarships available for Indian Students.

1. Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships
 
The Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships are for enthusiastic people who exhibit leadership abilities, have completed a bachelor's degree, and have at least three years of experience. It is made available to Indian students who seek to study for a master's degree or do research in a US academic institution by the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF).
 
2. Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship
 
The United Kingdom's Commonwealth Scholarship, one of the most prominent in India, has helped students receive an education there and establish a successful and reputable profession. Although maintaining a solid academic record is a requirement for obtaining a scholarship, there is much more to it than just being an academic standout. The applicant must be an Indian national, have completed their English education, and earned at least 60% in social sciences and humanities or 65% in engineering, science, technology, or agriculture. The Ministry of Human Resource Development will evaluate the applicants through a series of interviews to determine which candidates are most deserving.

 3. Australia Awards Scholarship
 
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade administers Australia Scholarships Scholarships, which are long-term awards.People from developing nations, especially those in the Indo-Pacific area, can enrol in full-time undergraduate or graduate programmes at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes.
The scholarship covers Tuition, living expenses, Return Air ticket, Establishment Allowance and Other expenses.
 
  4.Tata Scholarship-Cornell University

  5. Chevening Scholarship
 
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office funds the Chevening Scholarships, an international scholarship programme run by the UK government (FCO). The programme incentivizes outstanding researchers with leadership abilities from around the world to consider pursuing a graduate degree at any UK institution or university in any field.
Around 1500 scholarships are available worldwide for international students; as a result, Indian students have a reasonable probability of applying and being accepted.
 
  6. National Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the IndianGovernment
 
To improve low-income students' economic and social standing from the Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Laborers, and Traditional Artisans categories through higher education abroad, the Indian government offers National Overseas Scholarships.
Each year, according to the availability of funding, approximately 125 new awards are given out. The candidate's combined family income cannot be more than eight lakhs per year, and they must have received a passing grade of at least 60% on their most recent qualifying exam.

The Global Study Award promotes students' exploration of other nations, cultures, and languages by honouring studying abroad as a transformative experience for a person. £10,000 is the maximum award amount under this programme, which was established and is continued by International Student Identity Card (ISIC), StudyPortals, and British Council IELTS. The remaining money is given to the applicant for living expenses up to 52 weeks after the institution's registration date if the tuition charge is less than the specified amount.
 
  8. The JN Tata Endowment for the Higher Education of Indians
 
The JN Tata Endowment offers Indian applicants for master's, doctoral, postdoctoral, or research studies abroad partial financial aid ranging from INR 1 to 10 lakh. In addition, a partial travel stipend of up to INR 50,000 is also suggested for the chosen individuals, along with a "gift card" from the linked trusts. Candidates must be under 45 years of age and have completed their undergraduate or graduate studies with a minimum 60% grade point average. Candidates beginning their second year of study abroad are also eligible to apply.

Indian students are eligible for the Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) programme, which offers partial tuition cost relief.
The courses, prerequisites, and overall scholarship amount for the Nesos-run programme are variable for each college and each student from a different nation. Each year, about 50 OTS are given to Indian students, with a preference for those with stellar academic records and professional experience.
 
  10. Felix Scholarships
