San Jose State University
San Jose State University is a public university located in San Jose, California, United States. It is the founding campus of the California State University (CSU) system, and holds the distinction of being the oldest public institution of higher education on the West Coast of the United States. This University is located in the Silicon Valley the region is home to many of the world's largest technology corporations as well as thousands of small startups.

SJSU's student population is one of the most ethnically diverse in the nation, with large Asian and Latino enrollments, as well as the highest foreign student enrollment of all master's institutions in the United States In addition to being accredited by WASC.
 
   

Ranking
According to U.S. News and World Report's college rankings (2012), San Jose State ranks 39th among regional universities in the western United States and 10th among western regional public institutions. The 2012 rankings represent a slight improvement since 2011, in which SJSU ranked 44th overall and 14th among western regional public institutions. U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks SJSU among the top 20 public regional universities in the west, with SJSU achieving its highest overall ranking to date in 2008, when the university placed 8th among western regional public schools.
     
 
San Jose State offers 69 bachelors degrees with 81 concentrations, and 65 masters degrees with 29 concentrations.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

• Submit application online at csumentor.edu(choose “international
• High School diploma or graduate certificate
• Minimum high school GPA 3.0(out of 4.0) must have a minimum
   GPA 2.4 on college/university coursework.
• Official “sealed” transcripts(no copies will be accepted)
• TOEFL iBT 61 or IELTS 7.0
• Financial statement of $29776 is required
• Copy of passport biographic page

Conditional Admission Program
SJSU offers conditional admission to first time undergraduate freshmen who are academically qualified.

  Graduate Admission Requirement

• Submit application online at csumentor.edu(choose “international”)
• Equivalent to a U.S.4 years bachelors degree or diploma
• A minimum of GPA 2.5 on final two years (Most departments   require a higher GPA)
• Official sealed transcripts(no copied accepted)
• A minimum TOEFL 80 iBT or IELTS 7.0
• Financial Statement of &28810 is required.
