Hello being a woman is a celebration itself.Iam Uruj Shaikh B.Sc B.ed a teacher by profession.For me success is a journey and not the destination.For a nation builder ,a teacher's success is seeing her or his students excel in every aspect of life.There was a very cute boy in my class.who was always cheerful and active, but when it comes to Mathematics he just couldn't get it.He used to be very afraid of numbers,formulas,equation.He used to always tries to hide himself during Maths class.when enquired he told me he doesn't like the subject.It was a challenge for me to teach him as he needs to like the subject to understand it.So i told him ok lets makes friendship with the numbers as they are fun. so i started with colourful activity sheet for him.while in the process i realised he is suffering from DISCALCULIA-a condition when one have diffculities in counting numbers forward n backward.poor mental arithmatics skills etc. Then i started approaching and appreciating techniques i started one concept at a time did a lot of fun activities like collections of numbers like from the tickets ,food wrappers etc.He started enjoying and slowly developed in Maths subject.He didnt fear anymore but saw him cofindently solving Maths sums.He started to achieve good grades in the subjects.Today my boy has grown up he is currently graduating from Mathematics subject.Yeah Maths is his favourite now This is great success for me as well as him with my encouragement motivation and hard work i tried his weakness turned into his strength.As success comes to those who never give up...i never gave up on him thinking he has discalculia so he can't do it.But always motivated him to achieve the milestone.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
